![]() 1 thing I've just noticed in Macrium reflect, All drives except the HDD have a 500MB on the right AFTER the allocated space, whereas the HDD has it showing BEFORE the allocated space. I have no idea how my C drive is unable to boot without my HDD plugged in. I've tried repairing from a Windows installation media, command prompt (unable to repair), multiple clones using macrium. What are my options here? I'm so stuck and confused. (No matter which drive I boot from it always shows the original M.2 as C)Īll I wanted to do was upgrade my C drive, add an SSD and use the HDD as a back up. This doesn't make any sense my WinOS is installed fully on my M.2 and it shows as drive C. But here's the kicker, I have to select the HDD as the boot device. The only way I can boot my PC is with the original C drive AND storage HDD connected. What is happening? I've gone into bios and tried to boot from every drive, neither M.2 original or clone, or the SSD work. Somehow now the original C drive does not boot unless the 2TB Storage HDD is plugged in.Īll failure to boot have the same error something along the lines of no bootable OS found, and unable to repair. But all the discussions were mostly related to disk cloning or disk image/Windows backup. (With or without Storage HDD connected)Ĭloned it to a 2TB SSD and it doesn't boot. Ive got the opinion from tech forums - Macrium Reflect is super. I cloned the M.2 to a 2TB M.2 and it doesn't boot.
